The first step is to remove weeds, branches, decomposed leaves, and overgrown grass.
 

The monument is soaked in a concentrate of distilled water and dawn platinum solution. This solution is powerful enough to loosen surface area grime without stripping the monument of its natural properties. After soaking in the concentrate, tampico brushes and plastic scraper tools are used to remove the loosened dirt. The monument is rinsed in distilled water.
 

Biological Solution

After the surface air dries, Prosoco ReVive chemical treatment is applied to remove plant growth on the stone, including mold, lichen. Algae, etc. The solution is formulated to work continuously for ongoing protection throughout the year. Generally one treatment per year is sufficient, but this will vary depending on the environment, weather, proximity of the monument to wild plant growth, age of the monument, and condition of the monument at the time of application.

The biological solution is kept wet on the monument for up to 3 hours and continuously rinsed with distilled water.

The monument is dried with microfiber towels.
